Sa isang mahabang Instagram post, inilatag ni Kris ang kaniyang mga paalala sa lalaking tinawag niya na 'To the man Mel confronted' na walang iba kundi si Bistek, na nagsasaad na huwag na sana umanong ungkatin ang kanilang nakaraan at magpokus na lamang sa kasalukuyan.
"I’ve often been (accused) na mahilig magpapansin… But I do hope you’ve noticed the changes in me. My last post was on November 8, and today is November 20. My reason is simple- Mel is still adjusting to life w/ me and I've learned my lessons the hard way- the less you share, the better," aniya.

Ipinakita ni Kris ang screengrab ng isang lumabas na artikulo sa pahayagang Manila Bulletin.
"Kung huhusgahan ka, kasalanan mo na 'yan kasi pwede naman mamili kung ano ang para sa inyo lang. At the end of this Manila Bulletin article, it stated that no wedding date has been set. Actually one has, but we're keeping that for ourselves… Sobrang simpleng event na magugulat talaga kayo. Definitely, walang 'princess intan' moment."
