TULUYANG kinalos ng Games and Amusements Board (GAB) ang abusadong Global FC ng Philippine Football League (PFL).

Sa desisyon na inilabas ng GAB, ang ahensiya ng pamahalaan na nangangasiwa sa professional sports, na may petsang Setyembre 7, 2020 at pirmado nina GAB Chairman Abraham ‘Baham’ Mitra, at Commissioners Atty. Ed Trinidad at Mar Masanguid, ipinag-utos ang pag-blacklists sa Global FC at pagbabawal sa koponan na "applying for or renewing its license, transaction with GAB, or otherwise acting as a professional licensee."
"We are unhappy about what happened and we are acting on the complaint of the players whose livelihood and careers have been affected. I hope this serves as a deterrent and lesson to others who may do the same. GABs mandate is to look after the welfare of our professional athletes and we intend to do just that,” pahayag ni Mitra.
Inilahad ni Mitra na batay sa Section 21 ng Implementing Rules and Regulations ng Presidential Decree No. 871 o ang batas na nagpapasailalim sa Professional Basketball at iba pang Professional Sports sa pangangasiwa at regulasyon ng GAB ‘failure to respond to the show cause order issued by GAB shall amount to revocation or suspension of the team's license’.
Nauna rito, naglabas ang GAB ng ‘show cause order’ laban sa Global FC magament na may petsang Agosto 4, 2020 bunsod nang reklamo ng 15 players at staff ng koponan na umano’y hindi nasuwelduhan sa kabila nang kanilang nilagdaang kontrata sa koponan.Umabot umano sa mahigit P5 milyon ang hindi nabayarang suweldo ng mga players.
Ayon sa record ng GAB, mismong si Global FC team manager Mark Jarvis ang nakatanggap ng sulat ng GAB, kaakibat ang ‘motu proprio complaint’ laban sa management ng Global FC.
“The motu proprio complaint states that should the members of the management, such as owners, managers, and other team officials, fail to act on the alleged violation their licenses will be revoked or suspended,” sambit ni Mitra.
Sa kabila nito, hindi tumugon ang Global FC at bigong sagutin ‘under oath’ ang reklamo sa loob ng 10 araw mula nang matanggap ang abiso ng GAB.
"Global FC management should understand that it is our duty to protect professional athletes, particularly when there are allegations of non-payment of compensation. Thus, to avoid legal actions in court, we urge Global FC to comply with the provisions of the contract they entered into," pahayag ng dating Palawan Governor at Congressman.
Batay sa record ng PFF, nakuha ni Mark Jarvis ang prangkisa ng koponan mula kay Azkals manager Dan Palami noong July 2018. Naibenta niya ito sa Mazinyi Management Ltd. – isang Hong Kong based consortium – sa kaagahan ng taong kasalukuyan, ngunit napanatili niya ang posisyon bilang team manager.
Sa naging desisyon ng GAB, lima na lamang ang aktibong koponan sa PFL sa kanilang pagbubukas ng season. Ngunit, iginiit ng PFF na may ilang Manila-based team ang nagsumite na ng intensyon na sumali sa liga at nasa proseso na rin ang paghingi ng lisensiya sa GAB.
