“Everyone is so gentle with me because this is my first nootime hosting stint medyo nervous ako at first but everyone is very welcoming at made me feel i’m part of the family,” bungad niya sa amin.

“To my knowledge naman po, ABS-CBN management approached my( talent) management, Cornerstone and the discussion started there.” paliwanag ni Catriona.

Naitanong namin sa kanya kung tuloy-tuloy na rin pagpasok niya sa showbiz. making films and teleseryes?

“Sana, but i really have my sights on putting up music too,” matipid niyang tugon at sinabi’y pagtutunan din nito ang kanyang advocacy.

Sakaling pumalaot siya sa showbiz, sino naan ang gusto niyang makapareha? “Depende naman po kasi i feel naman na i’m newbie in acting,” at kung sino daw yong makakapagturo sa kanya for a better actress, yon ang kanyang pipiliin.

Paano niya pinaghandaan ang hosting sa It’s Showtime? Ang pagsasalita niya ng Tagalog?

“ I actually spent Christmas holidays and new year in Australia kasama ko yung magulang ko, and i’m coming back medyo malakas ulit ang accent ko. So i came back and i’m seeing my Tagalog coach ko para masanay ulit. So, i’m getting there naman and i’m trying to talking and talking as much as i can para masanay.”

Saktong birthday ni Catriona sa kanyang pagpasok sa nasabing noontime show. She’s celebrating her 26th birthday. “It doesn’t feel any difference but i feel very grateful in this to be in this position, a new chapter to be embarking on new endeavors and it’s really very exciting ‘coz, i’m learning once again.”

Birthday wish? “ Gusto ko rin to spent a lot of time with my tatay kasi medyo matanda na siya and it becomes apparent to me that my life is getting increasingly busy but i also need to allocate time for him. He’s really going to be important to me this year. “

Sa kanyang segment na Mini Miss Universe sa It’s Showtime, nakaka-relate daw siya dahil 5 years old pa lamang siya nang mapasali siya sa ganitong little pageant?

“Actually i was five years old when i joined Little Miss Philippines in Australia, and it was my mom put me in it. I really had fun and that’s my advice (to Mini Ms.U contestants) to them to have just fun. Actually i’m very impressed sa mga bata, sobrang taas ng confidence nila and to be able to speak infront of the people, i’m very impressed.”

Sakaling i-extend ang kanyang hostings sa It’s Showtime, willing naan daw siya ituloy ito.

“Open naman ako, but the only problem that i foresee is the scheduling because of course i have a calendar with my management, there was shootings for my music and of course i don’t want na laging absent sa Showtime, ‘di ba. We’re all going to see what’s going to happen. I’m open naman, all these whole week, i really enjoyed my time here, i’m learning o much .”

Samantala, nagbigay ng kanyang reaksiyon ang aktres na si Liza Soberano sa sinabi ni Catriona na may potential na maging isang Miss Universe ang aktres?

Ani Liza, “Well of course it’s flattering coming from Miss Universe herself and of course ate Pia (Wurtzbach) was also very supportive of me on that matter,” sagot ni Liza nang tanungin siya about it sa preskon ng Make It With You.

‘Yun nga lang, wala sa plano ni Liza ang rumampa sa mga beauty pageant. “I don’t want to say that I’m completely closing the doors but I honestly don’t see it in my career path because I am very passionate about acting and I feel like being a beauty queen takes a lot of time and I have to prepare physically, I have to prepare my walk, because I am not a beauty queen. I mean it requires a lot of training and I don’t think kaya kong mapalayo sa acting that long.”
