Kabuuang anim sa pitong miyembro ng Philippine Team na sasabak sa 30th Southeast Asian Games – kauna-unahang pagkakataon na mapasama ang eSports – ang miyembro ng Liyab na magtatangkang makasungkit ng isa sa anim na gintong nakataya sa biennial meet.

Sasabak ang Liyab sa Arena of Valor event – isa sa pinaka-kapana-panabik na laro sae Sports, habang nakasama si ‘Ender’ sa dalawang panlaban sa StarCraft ll event.

Ang Liyab AoV team ay pinamumunuan ni Kevin “Gambit” Dizon, kasama sina Jervan “Bents” Delos Santos, Jeremiah “1717” Camarillo, Lawrence “Rubixx” Gatmaitan at Miguel “Miggie” Banaag.

Kabilang sila sa 77 atleta na dumaan sa elimination at qualifying tournament para sa pagpili ng koponan sa Sea Games.

“It’s a dream come true for me and the whole team. If you asked me a few years ago we would compete in the Southeast Asian Games, I would say no right away. But here we are. Hopefully we will not fail the expectations of our “kababayans,” fans and supporters,” pahayag ni Gambit, itinalagang national team captain sa AoV.

Si Caviar “Enderr” Acampado ay sasabak din sa AoV matapos manguna sa StarCraft II elimination.

“I’m very happy to represent the country but of course the pressure to perform well is always there. I can feel it as early as now. But then again, I will definitely make the best out of this opportunity,” sambit ni Enderr.

Ang Liyab ay isang professional eSports team na pinangangasiwaan ng Globe, sa pakikipagtambalan ng Mineski.

“We always believed that Liyab has the potential to make it big in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games. While its a new sport, we believe the national team has a good chance to bring medals to the country. Now that the AoV team and Enderr are officially in the national team, they can fully concentrate on their training and preparations. The real hard work begins for them,” pahayag ni Nikko Acosta, Globe SVP for Content Business Group and Product Management.

Iginiit naman ng Mineski na ibibigay ang lahat ng suporta para masiguro ang kahandaan ng Team Liyab.

“We all know the pressure that the whole nation is watching you will be so great. But we are confident the boys will do well. We have scheduled several tournaments for them to compete. Hopefully, these events will further toughen their resolve and will to win,” sambit ni Ronald Robins, CEO of Mineski.

Bilang bahagi ng pagsasanay sa SEA Games, sasabak ang Liyab Arena of Valor team sa ESL MSP (Malaysia, Singapore, & Philippines) Championship sa September 21-22 target ang panalo na magbibigay sa kanila ng tsansa na makalaro sa Arena of Valor International Championship (AIC) 2019. Tampok sa AIC ang pinakamahuhusay na AOV team sa mundo. Sa ESL, mapapalaban ang Liyab sa Bren Esports, EurasiaSuperfly Esports at ang mananalo sa Malaysian SEA Games Qualifiers for Arena of Valor, M8Hexa.

Sasabak naman si Enderr sa 2019 World Electronic Sports Games Southeast Asia Tournament para idepensa ang korona na kanyang napagwagihan sa nakalipas na taon laban sa matitikas na karibal tulad nina Meomaika ng Vietnam at Ranger ng Malaysia.
