Shelved na ang pelikulang (K)Ampon, ang horror movie ni Kris Aquino na entry ng Quantum at Spring Films sa 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival dahil sa pagpapalit ng lead actor, si Gabby Concepcion imbes na si Derek Ramsay.

Nag beg-off na si Kris na hindi na niya itutuloy ang pelikula for some personal reasons. Inakala kasi namin na itutuloy pa rin ang shooting at ipalalabas na lang ito sa mas maagang petsa ng MMFF o early next year.

Hindi pinayagan ng execom ang pakiusap ng production oufit.

Base sa post ni Kris sa kanyang IG nitong Biyernes, “Lengthy discussion on Quantum Films request for the change of lead actor from Derek Ramsay to Gabby Concepcion. Lead actress in the film is Ms Kris Aquino.

“The Rules Committee of MMFF invoke Sec 3 which states the EXECOM’s approval since the letter of request was submmited last August 5 which is 5 days after the set deadline.

“The final recommendation is to DENY the request of Quantum Films. The denial is premised on the ground that it was. ‘filed out-of-time.’

“If they insist on Gabby, their film will be disqualified for the MMFF.”

Bago naman natulog si Kris nitong Biyernes ay naglabas siya ng saloobin niya.

Malaking panghihinayang naman din sa parte ng (K)Ampon production dahil sa ilang gabing puyatan na ginugol nila sa pre-prod meetings at nakapag-shoot na rin ng ilang eksena. Hindi biro ang mga nagastos na nauwi lang sa wala.
