Marami na ang nagaabang sa dream match sa pagitan nina Eduard “Landslide” Folayang at Eddie “The Underground King” Alvarez.

Ang dalawa ay maghaharap sa ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix semi-finals sa isa sa mga featured bouts sa ONE: DAWN OF HEROES sa Agosto 2 sa Mall of Asia Arena sa Manila, Philippines.

Galing si Alvarez sa isang TKO loss mula kay Timofey Nastyukhin sa ONE: A NEW ERA noong Marso 2019 pero ang dating UFC at Bellator World Champion ay hindi nababahala.

"Look, I got the first one out of the way. I lost, no problem. I did the same thing in the UFC [against Donald Cerrone], and I honestly almost did the same thing in my debut in Bellator," sabi niya sa interview sa BJ Penn Radio.

"I got dropped terribly. My debut in Bellator against [Greg Loughran] that no one knew. I got caught pretty clean," dagdag niya.

As tough as that loss was, Alvarez believes that he is primed for a bounce back win - and that is exactly what he is expecting against Folayang.

Naniniwala pa rin si Alvarez na mananalo siya at iyon ang inaasahan niya sa paghaharap nila ni Folayang.

"I bounced back and got the win, but I’m not a big fan of my debuts, put it that way. So I got it out of the way, got it past me, and now I can go full-on, go undefeated straight to the belt."

“I believe wrestling and boxing are his strengths, but if you’ll look at Eddie’s track record, you will see that almost all his defeats are from high level strikers,” bahagi ni Folayang.

“Of course I would not let him [finish me]. I’m the one who’s gonna finish him,” sabi ni Folayang.
