MATAGAL nang dream ng comedian-actor na si Michael V ang makapag-direk ng pelikula.
Para sa telebisyon, ang maging creative director ng longest-running gag show na Bubble Gang at ng award-winning sitcom na Pepito Manaloto ay para na ring nagdidirek si Bitoy.
Kaya finally ay natupad na ang dream na ito ni Bitoy nang makipag-co-produce siya at ang wife niyang si Carol Bunagan—ng kanilang Mic Test Entertainment, Inc. with GMA Pictures—sa Family History.

This time, hindi lang producer si Bitoy ng pelikula, kundi scriptwriter, director, at aktor pa.
Katambal niya si Ms. Dawn Zulueta sa pelikula, na kahit anong usisa namin kay Direk Bitoy ay ayaw niya talagang sabihin ang kabuuan ng story.
“It’s up to the moviegoers na malaman nila kung ano ang story, at kung ano ang aral na gusto naming paratingin sa kanila,” sabi ni Bitoy.
At tiyak na nagustuhan ng Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB) ang Family History, dahil binigyan ito ng Grade B, plus ang magagandang reviews sa pelikula.
Ang pagkakaroon ng Grade B mula sa CEB ay nangangahulugang makakakuha ng 65% tax rebate ang isang pelikula, alinsunod sa Section 13 ng RA 9167, ang batas na lumikha sa Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), na nakasasaklaw sa CEB.

May premiere night ang Family History cast sa July 23, at opening day on July 24, in cinemas nationwide.
