TIPONG shocked at nag-uumapaw ang katuwaan ni Kathryn Bernardo nang tanggapin niya nitong Sunday ang trophy niya bilang Best Actress, ka-tie si Sarah Geronimo, sa 35th PMPC Star Awards For Movies.

Naipanalo ni Kathryn ang acting niya sa pelikulang The How’s Of Us ng Star Cinema.

Mahaba ang naging acceptance speech ni Kathryn, at siyempre pa, hindi niya nakalimutang banggitin ang boyfriend niya for 7 seven years na si Daniel Padilla.

“My Love” ang term of endearment ni Kathryn kay Daniel, na nakaupo naman sa may harapan ng stage at wagas ang pagkakatitig sa kanya.

“Oh, my God! God! First time kong naka-receive ng Movie Actress of the year award! Na nakapunta talaga ako sa event na ito, at host pa ako.

“’Di ko talaga alam…I swear. Thank you. Thank you, God. Thank you so much, PMPC, dahil ni-recognize n’yo po ang pelikula namin. Salamat. Salamat.

“Thank you, Star Cinema for giving us this beautiful film. Inang (Olivia Lamasan) maraming salamat. Direk Cathy (Garcia-Molina) thank you for always pushing me to do my best.

“My Love,” aniya, sabay tingin at turo kay Daniel, na nakaupo malapit sa kanyang harapan. “Ahhh, my love, thank you! Alam n’yo, hindi ko magagawa ‘yung hinihingi ng role ko sa pelikula kung hindi dahil sa tulong ni DJ (Daniel). So thank you for love and support.

“Also I’d like to dedicate this award to my Tita Micky, prinamis ko sa kanya bago siya mawala, na promise na makakakuha ako ng Best Actress award.

“Alam n’yo, I was at a certain point in my career when I started questioning my capacity as an actress. Alam ko, alam n’yo na most of you, alam n’yo ang story na ‘yon.

“And then I questioned myself why I think it’s not working out to be what I wanted to. Bakit ibinigay mo lahat, pero bakit ganyan? So ang dami kong why last year before we shoot The Hows Of Us.

“And then alam n’yo ‘yung pinakabaon na natutunan ko siguro why we can do this film? That life is not perfect, it doesn’t always the way we want it to be.

“And itong award na ito…this is a validation that true dedication really does pay off. Totoo ‘yon.

“At napatunayan ko na it’s okay not to be okay sometimes. It’s okay to get tired in the process. It’s okay to fail even. Kasi lahat ‘yan, parte ‘yan ng journey natin. Because what is important is you stand up and try again until you were able to make that dream into reality.

“So, sini-share ko itong award na ito sa lahat nang nangangarap. Lahat ng nandito ngayon, at sa lahat nang nanonood. It’s okay to dream big, walang problema dun.

“Ang importante is you try…and try again, kahit mag-fail ka Just try again, and always remember you always have a chance to make that dream come true.”
