Maaaring nasa ulap pa ang utak ni Danny “The King” Kingad matapos niyang matalo si Senzo Ikeda sa ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix quarter-finals sa ONE: A NEW ERA pero naghahanda na rin siya para sa semi-finals.

Makakaharap niya ang dating ONE Flyweight World Champion na si Kairat “The Kazakh” Akhmetov at alam ni Kingad na mas magiging mahirap ang laban niya.

“I’ve been waiting for this chance to face him. Akhmetov is one of the best flyweights on the planet,” pag-amin ni Kingad.

The 31-year-old Almaty, Kazakhstan resident also had a terrific start to the World Grand Prix, as he outpointed former ONE Bantamweight World Title challenger Reece “Lightning” McLaren.

“I am looking forward to testing my wrestling skills against him and see how I will fare.”

Malaki rin ang pasasalamat niya kay Ikeda na pinalabas ang galing niya noong Marso 31 sa Tokyo, Japan.

“Ikeda is a great athlete. This is definitely one of the toughest matches of my career,” sabi ni Kingad.

“At some point, he was able to execute his game plan and maximize his strengths on striking, which I successfully overcame. He was very tough. I thought I was punching a stone every time I hit him.”

“I’m two more wins away from winning the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix and from my second World Title shot. I don’t have any plans of wasting my opportunity,” sabi niya.

“I’ll be giving more focus on my overall game when I go back to the gym.”
