Kinasuhan na ang limang suspek sa magkasunod na pambobomba sa Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral sa Jolo, Sulu noong Enero 27.

Nagsampa na ng kaso ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa Provincial Prosecutor’s Office sa Sulu laban kina Kammah Pae; Albaji Gadjali; at anak niyang sina Kaisar at Rajan; at Salit Alih.

"The prosecutor has terminated the inquest proceedings and deemed submitted for resolution the case against the five arrested suspects in the Jolo Cathedral bombing," pagsisiwalat ni Department of Justice (DoJ) spokesman Undersecretary Mark Perete.

"The suspects have been named respondents in the cases for multiple murder, multiple frustrated murder and damage to property filed by Sulu Police Provincial Office, Camp P/SSupt Julasirim Ahadin Kasim, Asturias, Jolo, Sulu," diin niya.

Sa nasabing reklamo, sinabi ni Perete na kasama rin ang pitong iba pang 'di pa nakikilalang suspek.

Unang sumuko si Kammah sa 35th Infantry Battalion (IB) ng Philippine Army nitong Sabado, bago itinurn over sa pulisya sa Jolo, Sulu.

Habang ang apat na iba pang suspek ay sumuko rin sa hiwalay na local police units sa Sulu, nitong Linggo.

Samantala, ang lima ay nasa kustodiya ng Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) Mount Carmel sa Jolo, Sulu.

P500K TULONG SA BIYUDA NG MGA SUNDALO

Samantala, bagamat walang public engagement, naging abala si Pangulong Duterte sa pagharap sa mga asawa ng limang nasawing sundalo sa pambobomba.

Ayon kay Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, ipinatawag sila kamakalawa ng Pangulo sa Davao City, kasama sina Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello at NHA Manager Jun Escalada.

Ayon kay Lorenzana, binigyan ng Pangulo ng tig-P500,000 ang mga biyuda ng limang sundalo.

Galing umano ang pondo sa Presidential Special Financial Assistance fund.

Nagbigay din, aniya, ang Armed Forces of the Philippines ng tulong pinansiyal na P280,000 hanggang P400,000, depende sa ranggo ng mga sundalo.

Bukod pa umano ito sa buwanag pensyion na matatanggap ng mga biyuda.

'CASE SOLVED'

Ipinahayag kahapon ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na "case solved" na ang pambobomba sa cathedral, matapos na sumuko ang limang suspek at kasuhan.

Gayunman, sinabi ni Senior Supt. Bernard Banac, PNP spokesperson, na ang kaso ay hindi pa "closed" dahil nagsasagawa pa ng imbestigasyon para sa ikaaaresto ng nasa 14 pang suspek, kabilang si Abu Sayyaf sub-leader Hatib Hajan Sawadjaan.

"This case is solved but not yet closed. This means that the suspects were already placed under police custody and the charges against them were already filed. We cannot close the case yet because pursuit operations are still on-going against the other at-large suspects," sabi ni Banac.
