PARA sa walang talong Aussie boxer na si WBO No. 9 at IBF No. 11 lightweight contender George Kambosos, Jr., mahihirapan si four-division world titlist Adrien Broner na maagaw ang WBA welterweight title ni Manny Pacquiao sa kanilang sagupaan sa Enero 19 sa MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Kakasa rin ang pangunahing sparring partner ni Pacquiao laban kay Puerto Rican Rolando Chinea sa eight-round lightweight match pero nakatutok si Kambosos sa depensa ng Pinoy boxer na pinuri niya sa abilidad sa counter punching at tulis ng mga bigwas sa kanilang sparring sa Wild Card Boxing Club sa Hollywood, California.

“I’m a very fast fighter too. I punch and move very well. Usually no one can out speed me. It’s always fun and a challenge sparring him (though). I adjust pretty well. He’s still got that awkward style. Even with all those rounds, the angles, he moves nice — it’s still hard to catch him,” sabi ni George Kambosos.

“When you put on eight ounce gloves he’s going to do real damage (against Broner).”

“Pacquiao, now 40-years-old, is taking steps to ensure that he doesn't overtrain. Everything is good, very good assessment and good camp. We are going to continue the heavy training in Los Angeles,” aniya.

“When we need to rest, we rest. He (Pacquiao) is 40-year-old, so he understands he ain’t young. He knows when to take off and he knows when to push hard. So come January 19, he is going to be 110 percent ready."

Nangako si Pacquiao na kung magagawa niya ay patutulugin si Broner na hindi pa napatitigil sa 37 laban.

“I am not making a prediction, but my goal is to knock out Broner,” sabi ni Pacquiao sa Boxingscene.com.

“I am looking for a knockout against Broner. I have to maximize the opportunity. I forgot how much fun winning a fight by knockout was until I stopped Lucas Matthysse last summer to win the WBA welterweight title. It felt great to win that way and the fans loved it, too, so why not try for it again?”

“I’m a very, very fast puncher, very explosive, and I have faster hands than (Adrien) Broner. I am a better counter-puncher than Broner,”dagdag ni Kambosos. “So if Manny (Pacquiao) can deliver more shots and counter-punch than me, he is going to hit Broner all night. They call Adrien Broner the 'Problem'? Manny is the real problem now."
