BAGUIO CITY – Lubos ang pasasalamat na ipinaabot ni Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman William Ramirez sa alkalde at governador ng Baguio City at Benguet Province dahil sa tagumpay ng Batang Pinoy National Finals 2018 na ginanap sa Baguio City National High School Athletic Bowl dito.
Bagama't hindi nakarating, ay nagpaabot naman ng kanyang pasasalamat ang PSC Chief kina Mayor Mauricio Domogan ng Baguio at Benguet Province Governor Cresencio Pacalso sa pamamagitan ng kanyang dapat na commissioners na sina Ramon Fernandez, Celia Kiram, Charles Maxey at Arnold Agustin.

Ayon kay Ramirez, sa kabila ng pananalasa ng bagyong Ompong ay Hindi natinag ang buong pamunuan ng Baguio at Benguet, upang ituloy ang nasabing national finals para sa grassroots program ng nasabing ahensiya.
"As we come to the final day of the Annual Youth Games or Batang Pinoy 2018, in the aftermath of Typhoon Ompong and the calamity that befell a number of our brethren here in Baguio and Benguet, the PSC would like to thank the people of Baguio and Benguet led by Mayor Mauricio Domogan of Baguio and Governor Cresencio Pacalso of Benguet respectively for helping us deliver a successful Batang Pinoy National Championships. You have our respect, admiration and support," ayon sa bahagi ng mensahe na ipinadala ni Ramirez.
Pinasalamatan din ni Ramirez ang mga Local Government Units (LGUs) na nakilahok as naturang proyekto ng PSC para sa mga batang atleta.
"We also want to thank all the Local Government Units which participated in the 2018 Batang Pinoy. Thank you for pushing to come despite the challenges," ani Ramirez.
To all sports facilities managers and coordinators and their personnel who have been part of the management of different sports, maraming salamat po sa inyong tulong, " ayon pa dito
Saludo din si Ramirez sa determinasyon na ipinamalas ng mga coaches, mga magulang at lalo na ang mga atleta upang suungin ang bagyo para lamang matuloy ang nasabing kompetisyon.
"To coaches, technical officials, parents and athletes who were part of this grassroot sports competitions, where values and character are fortified and nurtured, we know your sacrifices. We thank you for pushing to build our youth up in sports. You are strong pillars of our efforts to build a better tomorrow for our children," aniya.
