Nag-post ang isa ring social media influencer na si James Deakin ng panayam niya kay dating Senador Bongbong Marcos nu’ng kumandidato sa pagkabise-presidente.
Napakaraming nagalit at ginamit pang depensa si Kris: “... for those saying ‘why talk to BBM about traffic, he’s not a transport official’ I interview or share my advocacies with all sorts of people. Including the Aquinos.”
Sinagot kaagad ito ni Kris nitong nakaraang Linggo ng madaling araw sa kanyang Instagram, “Was peacefully recuperating but a Road Safety Enthusiast and Influencer had to drag me as a ‘shield’ when he got some unwanted reactions because of a picture that had been posted to drum up some noise for an upcoming vlog. ‘Just as they’ve done in the US & other parts of the world, as a woman, I’m making my voice heard loud & proud. Kasama sa post ni James Deakin ang litratong magkakasama sila nina Bongbong Marcos, Brandon Vera at Jun Falafox para sa vlog niyang “How do you solve a problem like Manila.”
Ayon kay Deakin: “So for the record, I’m not a BBM defender. Nor am I a detractor. I’m a transport journalist and road safety advocate that is passionate about finding solutions to this traffic crisis we are all going through.
“And that requires having conversations and interviews with a whole range of people.
“Not just people that I like or who agree with me. And that is the very least you should expect from an objective journalist.”

Kaagad itong nakarating kay James Deakin na humingi ng tulong kay Luis Manzano para makuha ang numero ni Kris na kaagad namang ipinagpaalam ng I Can See Your Voice host na in-screenshot naman nito, at ipinadala kay Kris: “Hi Ninang! James Deakin is asking if he can get your number, can I give it? - Luis”
Agad sumagot si Kris ng, “Hey there, sure.”
Sa pag-uusap nina Kris at James ay humingi ng paumahin ang huli, “I see in hindsight now I shouldn’t have gone there and for that I am truly sorry. You’ve been nothing but gracious with me. And you don’t deserve to be dragged into this mess. I do hope you can accept my apology.”
Walang pagdadalawang-isip itong tinanggap ni Kris.
