PARIS (AP) — Tinanghal na women’s double champion ng French Open sina Bethanie Mattek-Sands at Lucie Safarova.
Ginapi nila ang tambalan nina Ashleigh Barty at Casey Dellacqua ng Australia, 6-2, 6-1, para makamit ang ikatlong sunod na major title.
“Just so everyone knows, we have our trophies here. We have a little champagne in it. It’s tradition to drink champagne out of the trophy, so I’m going to do so,” sambit ni Mattek-Sands.

Ito ang ikalawang titulo nila sa Roland Garros at ikalima sa kabuuan sa Grand Slam event.
“We are taking it one match at a time. Really, we kind of enjoy our practice days. We enjoy our off days,” aniya.
“We’re playing singles, doubles. I played mixed doubles here. I think the moment is enough, actually.”
Nakamit ng tambalan nila ang dalawang Australian Open title at U.S. Open nitong 2016. Sakaling maipanalo nila ang Wimbledon, kumpleto na ang kanilang dominasyon.
“It’s funny, because we don’t even kind of think about it that way. “It’s kind of tough to even look back and to the future to what you could do and what you have done. But we’re really excited for grass. We’re looking forward to Wimbledon. We love playing on grass. We are going to be ready there, too,” pahayag ni Mattek-Sands.
