MALAKI ang malasakit ng mag-asawang Cong. Martin at Yedda Marie Romualdez sa persons with disabilities (PWDs) kaya isinama nila ang ilan sa kanila sa lunch nila with entertainment press.
“Ito ang personal advocacy natin to further the interest of persons with disabilities,” sabi ni Martin. “We’re happy and glad to have our law, The Expanded Magna Carta for Persons With Disabilities signed into law and just last month, through all the efforts of those our friends and I would like to make a special mention to the congresswoman of the first district of Leyte, Yedda Marie Romualdez for helping us and the implementing rules and regulations signed.
“We have other issue like the actual provisions from the Department of Health refined further. We are working hand in hand with the representative of Mercury Drug to provide better services, better privileges like discounts, the Value Added Tax exemption aligning to this law.”

Nagpasalamat si Martin sa suportang ibinigay ng entertainment press sa kanya at sa pamilya niya nang kumandidato siya para senador nitong nakaraang eleksiyon. Gusto niya uling kumandidato sa 2019 na hindi lang para sa mga kababayan nating PWDs kundi sa iba pang marginalized sectors ng society.
May ipinasang batas si Martin na pasok ang benepisyong VAT exemption, dagdag na 20% additional discount sa specific goods and services at maximum na 32% discount sa piling goods at services.
Lahat ng PWDs na Pilipino at dual citizens na rehistrado sa bansa ay kasama sa benefits.
Samantala, napansin ng ilang entertainment press na artistahin ang dalawang binata nina Martin at Yedda, kaya napangiti ang mag-asawa at nagpasalamat din sa mga papuri sa kanilang mga anak na hindi yata uubra sa showbiz dahil pareho palang mahiyain. (Reggee Bonoan)
