Iminungkahi ni Senator Antonio Trillanes IV ang pagkakaroon ng advisory board ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para sa foreign policy upang makatuwang ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
Ipinasa ni Trillanes ang Senate Bill No. 1141 o Foreign Policy Advisory Board (FPAB) na magsisilbing check and balance ng Pangulo sa foreign policy.
“This system would also ensure that foreign policy decisions and/or initiatives would be made by the President only after hearing and/or considering the perspectives, inputs and/or wise counsel not only of our career foreign service officers but also of other senior-level leaders and advisers representing a wider array of backgrounds, experiences and/or perspectives,” ani Trillanes.
