Isinusulong ni Rep. Winston Castelo (2nd District, Quezon City), ang 12 taong validity o pagkakabisa sa mga plaka ng sasakyan.
Sa ilalim ng inakda niyang House Bill 5888 o “License Plate Renewal/Replacement Act,” ang mga plaka ng sasakyan ay ire-renew lamang tuwing ika-12 taon para makatipid sa pondo.
“License plate replacement should only be effected if there are sufficient grounds for doing so. For instance, if the license plate does not in any way interfere with vehicle identification, then it should remain in use and valid,” ani Castelo. (Bert de Guzman)
