Kabilang si Khan sa short list ng tatlong bosingerong pinili ni Pacquiao na si WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley at kaibigan nitong si WBO light welterweight titlist Terence Crawford.

Maraming nadismayang boxing fans sa ikatlong sagupaan nina Pacquiao at Bradley ngunit iginiit ni Top Rank big boss na posibleng tumabo sa pay-per-view ang sagupaan sa Abril 9, 2016 sa MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Idineklara ng World Boxing Council na mandatory contender si Khan ng magwawagi sa sagupaan nina dating world champions Danny Grcia at Robert Guerrero sa Enero 23 sa Los Angeles, California kaya hihintayin na lamang niya ang resulta nito.

“The thing is he’s not a big pay-per-view draw,” pag-amin ni Roach sa Boxing News.
