Nabulabog ang mga station at precinct commander sa Metro Manila bunsod ng biglaang pagsibak sa apat sa limang district director na nakabase sa National Capital Region.

Binigyang diin ni Senior Supt. Wilben Mayor, hepe ng Philippine National Police (PNP) public information office, na ang pinakahuling balasahan sa pulisya ay nagpapatunay na ang PNP ay determinadong pagbutihin ang performance ng mga station at precinct commander.

“This now serves as a challenge to every commander that they have to do their best in fighting crime in their areas of responsibility,” giit ni Mayor.

Noong Miyerkules, biglaang inanunsiyo ni Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas ang pagsibak kina Chief Supt. Richard Albano bilang director ng Quezon City Police District (QCPD); Chief Supt. Jet Erwin Villacorte ng Southern Police District (SPD); Chief Supt. Rolando Asuncion ng Manila Police District (MPD); at Chief Supt. Edgardo Layon ng Northern Police District (NPD).

Tanging si Chief Supt. Abelardo Villacorta ng Eastern Police District (EPD) ang nanatili sa kanyang puwesto mula sa hanay ng mga district director sa Metro Manila.

“This is part of the  intensified campaign for anti-criminality in the National Capital Region,” paliwanag ni Roxas sa nangyaring balasahan.

Samantala, itinalaga ni PNP Chief Director General Alan LM Purisima ang walong police official sa bagong puwesto sa Pambansang Pulisya, kabilang ang apat na nabakanteng puwesto sa NCR.

Kabilang sa mga itinalaga ay sina Chief Supt. Jonathan Ferdinand G. Miano, officer-in-charge ng NPD; Chief Supt. Henry S. Ranola, OIC ng SPD; Senior Supt. Rolando Z. Nana, OIC ng MPD; Senior Supt.
