Isang emosyonal at makahulugang mensahe ang ibinahagi ni Veronica “Kitty” Duterte para sa kaniyang amang si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para sa Father’s Day, Linggo, Hunyo 21.
Sa kaniyang social media post, ipinahayag ni Kitty ang kaniyang pagmamahal, paghanga at pagpapahalaga sa dating pangulo.
Buong mensahe ni Kitty: “happy father’s day, papa/dada rody. as much as we talk, the kind of man you are never lets me run out of things to say."
"i talk to you 4 times a week, i see you every other month, but i feel you in every wave of silence and every strike of the crowd."
"beyond all these impressive, but superficial titles, legacies, credentials and achievements, i’ve been pondering about what among the things you’ve imparted to us, holds most merit."

Binigyang-diin ni Kitty na higit sa mga titulo, karangalan at tagumpay ng kaniyang ama, ang pinakamahalagang naiwan umano nito sa kanilang pamilya ay ang pagpapalaki at mga pagpapahalagang itinuro sa kanila.
Inilarawan din niya si Duterte bilang isang lider na tiningnan ang pulitika bilang serbisyo at hindi bilang entablado para sa pansariling interes.

Sa kasalukuyan, si FPRRD ay nasa detention facility ng International Criminal Court (ICC) sa The Hague, Netherlands habang dinidinig ang kasong crimes against humanity na isinampa laban sa kaniya kaugnay ng kaniyang kampanya kontra ilegal na droga noong siya ay alkalde ng Davao City at kalaunan ay naging pangulo ng bansa.
Bukod kay Kitty, may Father's Day message din ang isa pa sa mga anak ni FPRRD na si Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo "Pulong" Duterte.
