Siniguro ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) sa kanilang pahayag nitong Linggo, Marso 1, na patuloy nilang binabantayan ang mga gulong nangyayari sa ilang bansa sa Middle East, sa tulong ng kanilang koordinasyon sa Department of National Defense (DND) at ilan pang ahensya.
Tiniyak rin ng AFP ang publiko na walang banta sa Pilipinas at mga lokal at dayuhang naninirahan dito ang patuloy na tumaas na tensyon sa Middle East.
Kaya abiso ng AFP sa publiko, manatiling kalmado, mapagmatyag, at maging mapanuri sa mga impormasyon na binabasa sa social media, at tiyakin na kumakalap lamang ng ulat mula sa mga beripikadong government sources.
“There is currently no credible direct threat to Philippine territory or to Filipino and foreign national in the country. The AFP assures the public that national security conditions remain stable. The public is encouraged to remain calm, exercise vigilance against disinformation, and rely only on verified government sources,” saad ng AFP.
Anila, sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga ahensya, ang AFP ay nananatiling handa sa mga posibleng repatriation at crisis response para sa Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) na kasalukuyang nasa Middle East.

“In coordination with interagency partners, the AFP stands ready to augment possible repatriation and crisis response efforts for Filipinos in affected areas, when directed,” pagtitiyak ng AFP.
“The AFP remains committed to its supporting role in whole-of-government efforts, ensuring readiness to assist whenever called upon to help safeguard Filipino lives and uphold national security,” dagdag pa nito.
