Hindi na magsasampa ng kaso ang ama ng estudyanteng tumalon mula sa LRT-1, FPJ station laban sa driver ng sasakyang nakabangga sa estudyante noong Miyerkules, Pebrero 11, 2026, ayon sa Quezon City Police District (QCPD).
Matatandaang isang estudyanteng lalaki ang kinumpirma ng Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) na tumalon mula sa nasabing estasyon, na nagresulta sa kaniyang pagkamatay.
“Reports indicate that at approximately 10:30 AM, a male individual jumped off from the station platform to the street level of Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA),” anang Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC).

Nitong Huwebes, Pebrero 12, kinumpirma ng pulisya na nananatili pa rin sa kanilang kustodiya ang driver at mahaharap sa kasong reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
“Sa ngayon under custody pa rin po natin yung driver nung sasakyan na nakasagasa noong nagkataong mahulog or tumalon yung estudyante doon sa LRT. And inaayos po yung mga documents para sa ma-inquest po siya,” anang pulisya.
Giit pa ng pulisya, "Ipa-file po natin yung reckless imprudence resulting in homicide po.”

Samantala, ayon sa pahayag ng QCPD nito ring Huwebes, nagsagawa sila ng masusing imbestigasyon kaugnay sa pagkamatay ng estudyante.
"The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) conducted a thorough investigation into the incident involving a male student who reportedly fell from the platform area of the FPJ LRT-1 Station at around 10:30 AM on February 11, 2026. Initial investigation and CCTV review show no apparent indication of negligence on the part of the driver," saad ng QCPD.
Dagdag pa nila, inilagay sa ilalim ng kustodiya ng pulisya ang driver alinsunod umano sa standard operating procedures (SOP) ng Philippine National Police (PNP).
"The driver cooperated with authorities and was placed under police custody in accordance with the standard operating procedures (SOP) of the Philippine National Police (PNP), as the incident involved a fatality. This measure is a part of the investigative process to ensure proper documentation and compliance with legal requirements," paliwanag ng QCPD.
Kaugnay nito, binanggit din ng QCPD na hindi na magsasampa ng kaso ang ama ng estudyante sa driver at pagkatapos ay pinalaya na ang driver mula sa kustodiya Traffic Sector 6 bandang 4:10 PM.
"Moreover, the father executed a notarized letter manifesting that he is not pursuing a complaint against the driver," anang pulisya. "Thereafter, the driver was released from the custody of Traffic Sector 6 at 4:10 PM today, February 12, 2026."
"The QCPD extends its sincere condolences to the bereaved family and assures the public of its commitment to conduct a fair, impartial, and transparent investigation."
