‘A SIMPLE SCORECARD PERO NANDAYA PA RIN’
Nagpakawala ng tirada ang aktor at host na si Edu Manzano patungkol sa umano’y insidente ng dayaan sa isang golf tournament.
Sa isang Facebook post ni Edu noong Lunes, Pebrero 9, sinabi niyang hindi lang umano ito basta usapin ng paglalaro ng golf.
“Not a world event. Not big money. Just a club tournament and an honor system. A simple scorecard pero nandaya pa rin.That tells us the problem isn’t pressure. It’s personality. It’s habit.,” saad ni Edu.

Dagdag pa niya, “These are political families, people who live off public trust. If they can’t be honest in a low-stakes game, what happens when real power and real money are involved?”
“Golf is self-policing. You call penalties on yourself. No referee. Just conscience. So when cheating still happens, the message is clear ….. winning matters more than truth.”
Ayon kay Edu, sa ganitong paraan umano gumagana ang korupsiyon.
“This is how corruption survives, not only through giant scandals but through small dishonest acts people excuse because ‘laro lang.’ But it’s never just a game. It’s practice,” aniya.
“If they cheat when nothing matters, imagine what they do when everything does,” dugtong pa niya.
Bagama’t walang binanggit na pangalan kung sino-sino ang kaniyang pinatutungkulan, ibinahagi niya ang isang ulat tungkol sa desisyon ng Alabang Country Club, Inc. na bawiin ang parangal na iginawad sa mga nagwaging koponan sa ginanap na Mango Tee tournament.
Kabilang rito ang mga personalidad na sina Camarines Sur Governor Lray Villafuerte, Edward Francisco, Ronin Leviste, at Darren Flores.
Batay sa board resolution na inilabas ng nasabing club noong Lunes, Pebrero 9, napagkasunduan ng lahat na ipawalang-bisa ang panalong nakuha ng binanggit na team.
“After careful review of the investigative report submitted by the Mango Tee Committee and in coordination with the Club’s Golf Committee, the Board of Directors of Alabang Country Club Inc. has decided and unanimously agreed to withdraw the awards conferred during the Mango Tee awards rites on 07 February 2026 to the teams of Mr. Ronin Leviste and partner Mr. Darren Flores; and Mr. Luis Raymynd Villafuerte and partner Mr. Edward Francisco, due to the highly unusual and statistically improbable submitted scores made by these two above-mentioned teams,” mababasa sa resolusyon.
Sa huli, ipinag-utos ng Alabang Country Club, Inc. na isauli nina Leviste, Flores, Villafuerte, at Francisco ang tropeong ibinigay sa kanila noong Pebrero 7.
