'WE ARE NOW REAPING THE FRUITS OF OUR HARD WORK'

Ikinatuwa ni Senador Jinggoy Estrada ang pag-apruba ng ₱800 umento sa sahod ng mga kasambahay sa Metro Manila ngayong taon. 

“Thirteen (13) years since the enactment of Republic Act No. 10361, or the Batas Kasambahay, we are now reaping the fruits of our hard work in steering the passage into law of this landmark legislation, which I pushed and championed in the Senate,” saad ni Estrada sa isang pahayag.

“For our countrymen who work hard every day and support their families as domestic workers, an additional ₱800 in their monthly minimum wage is a great help, especially in the face of the continued increase in the prices of basic commodities,” dagdag pa niya.

“As the main proponent of the Domestic Workers Act, I remain committed to continuing to intensify and strengthen the implementation of this law to better protect the welfare and dignity not only of domestic workers but also of their employers, and to ensure fair and harmonious relations in the workplace."

Matatandaang inanunsyo ng Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board - NCR kamakailan na magsisimula na sa buwan ng Pebrero ang umento sa sahod ng mga kasambahay sa Metro Manila.

Nasasaad sa Wage Order No. NCR-DW-06 na mula sa ₱7,000 kada buwang minimum wage rate ng mga kasambahay, ito ay magiging ₱7,800 na kada buwan.
