Pinabulaanan ni dating Presidential Spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque na sangkot umano siya sa "land grabbing" sa Bataan, base sa pahayag ng former aid at umano'y bagman ni Vice President Sara Duterte na si Ramil Madriaga.
Sa isang press conference nitong Huwebes, Disyembre 18, sa Quezon City sinabi ni Madriaga, sa pamamagitan ng legal counsel niyang si Atty. Raymund Palad, ang tungkol sa umano'y large-scale land grabbing sa Bataan na iniuugnay kay Roque.
Iginiit pa niya na dalawang beses umano siyang binisita ng Pangalawang Pangulo sa Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) noong Oktubre upang pigilan umano siyang maglantad ng mga kontrobersiya na kinasasangkutan ni Duterte at ang umano'y pangangamkam ng lupa ni Roque sa Bataan.
Gayunpaman, pinabulaanan ni Roque ang alegasyong ito.

"The recycled land-grabbing accusation coming from the counsel of convicted kidnapper Ramil Madriaga should finally be laid to rest. If I had committed any such act, the proper case would be civil in nature and should have been filed in the proper forum. To this day, I have not received any complaint, despite repeated claims that one is allegedly pending before the Office of the Ombudsman," saad ni Roque sa isang pahayag nito ring Huwebes.
"The allegation of torture is equally baseless. This claim was already raised during the preliminary investigation for kidnapping for ransom and was dismissed outright for lack of evidence. Its revival now is nothing but harassment," dagdag pa niya.
Giit pa ng dating presidential spokesman, nagsimula raw ang pag-atake sa kaniya ni Madriaga nang tanggihan niya ang alok umano nito na P5 milyon kapalit ng pagbasura ng kaso.
"These attacks only began after I rejected Ramil Madriaga’s offer of ₱5 million in exchange for dropping the case, betraying my client, and abandoning the prosecution against him and his co-accused. This is a clear attempt to intimidate me and derail the case," aniya.
Nabanggit din ni Roque ang tungkol sa mga pahayag din ni Madriaga laban kay VP Sara.
"His recent statements against Vice President Sara Duterte are likewise suspect. They are not only incredible on their face, but also come from a polluted source—one who appears to have been promised favorable treatment in his remaining criminal case in exchange for participating in a smear campaign," saad nito.
"This will not work. The public knows better."
