“I saw that the Philippines don’t only have beautiful natural resources, and I’m so proud to be representing my country and to bring the culture and tradition of the Philippines here in Miss International, and to share it with the whole world,” saad ni Myrna.
“And I hope that through me, you will love the Philippines,” dagdag pa niya.
“I came from a family of seventeen. I have 16 siblings, and my late father used to work as a tricycle driver, while my mom used to be a basket weaver—but now she owns a grocery store. So, growing up, it was really a tough childhood for me and for my siblings, so my parents could not send all of us to school. That’s why at a very young age, I need to work, and I chose that to help my parents and also support myself in my education,” kuwento ni Myrna.
“I’m very fortunate because I’m the only one in the family who graduated and have a four-year degree course. It’s all thanks to my mom. She’s such an amazing woman, and she always tells me that I can do anything as long as I put my 100% and my whole heart and mind into it,” pagpapatuloy niya.
