Nilinaw ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) na wala umano silang natanggap na kumpirmasyon hinggil sa pagkakaaresto sa dating Presidential Spokesperson at human rights lawyer na si Harry Roque.

Kaugnay ito sa umuugong na alegasyong si Roque daw ay naaresto na ng mga awtoridad sa The Netherlands.

“Reports of Atty. Harry Roque being arrested in the Netherlands are circulating. By virtue of the Red Notice issued by the Philippine government, authorities in the Netherlands have cause to arrest him and turn him over to Philippine authorities. However, I would like to emphasize that no official communication confirming an arrest has been transmitted to us,” saad ng DILG sa kanilang social media post nitong Martes, Nobyembre 25.

Ayon sa ahensya, mabibigay sila ng anunsyo kung sakaling sila ay makatanggap ng opisyal na kumpirmasyon.

“We will make the appropriate announcement once an official confirmation is received,” anang ahensya.

Sa isang social media post naman nitong Martes, Nobyembre 25, pinasinungalingan mismo ni Harry Roque na siya ay naaresto ng mga awtoridad sa The Netherlands.

Aniya, siya ay may naka-iskedyul na paglipad patungong Vienna, Austria ngayong araw.
