Naglabas ng pahayag si Mamamayang Liberal (ML) Party-list Rep. Leila De Lima sa gitna ng mga nangyayaring palabas sa gobyerno.

Sa latest X post ni De Lima nitong Martes, Nobyembre 18, nanawagan siyang panagutin ang lahat ng dawit sa talamak na korupsiyon.

Aniya, “Dapat managot ang lahat ng sangkot. Alam naman natin: Guilty parties have the propensity to obfuscate, mislead and confuse the truth seekers, including the public, just to evade accountability.” 

“Yes, they may have the truth,” pagpapatuloy ni De Lima, “the whole truth in its purest form or simply half-truths — or the facts (complete, full, or partial), but let us not be easily swayed, deluded, or manipulated to serve selfish or insidious agenda, unless these whistleblowers and witnesses, even those coming from polluted sources, submit themselves to the regular fora and legal processes of accountability.”

Kaya naman inaapura na rin ni De Lima na ipatupad ang panukalang batas na magmamandato sa pagbuo ng Independent Commission Against Infrastructure Corruption (ICAIC).

“Pass the legislative proposals to significantly curb corruption, dismantle political dynasties and introduce electoral reforms. Empower our democratic and accountability institutions,” dugtong pa ng kongresista.

Matatandaang noon pang Setyembre iginiit ni De Lima ang pagpapakulong sa mga tiwaling nagiging dahilan para lalong malubog ang bansa sa korupsiyon at kahirapan.

Samantala, kumbinsido naman si Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Sec. Vince Dizon na may makukulong na sa mga sangkot sa flood control scandal bago pa man dumating ang buwan ng Disyembre.
