Usap-usapan ang "real talk" ng kilalang American storm chaser na si Josh Morgerman ng iCyclone patungkol sa mga umano'y kumakalat na "misinformation" sa kabundukan ng Sierra Madre, at kung paano ito nagiging proteksyon sa mga bagyo.
Dumating sa Pilipinas si Morgerman kamakailan bago pa man tuluyang manalasa ang super typhoon Uwan sa bansa.
Ayon kay Morgerman, marami siyang nababasang social media posts mula sa mga Pilipinong netizen, na hindi raw tutuloy ang pananalasa ng bagyo sa Pilipinas dahil sa pagharang ng Sierra Madre chain.
Bagay na nilinaw naman ni Morgerman sa kaniyang Facebook post nitong Lunes, Nobyembre 10.

Aniya, "pinahihina" lamang ng Sierra Madre ang anumang bagyo pagkatapos nitong tumama sa lupa o mag-landfall, pero hindi ibig sabihin nito na mawawala na agad ang bagyo.
Hindi raw ibig sabihing tumama ang bagyo sa Sierra Madre, hindi na makararanas ng pananalanta ang iba pang mga lugar sa bansa, bagama't nakatutulong ang kabundukan para tuluyang humina ang bagyo.
