Opisyal nang nanumpa si Atty. Angelito Magno bilang bago officer-in-charge sa ahensya ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) matapos ang pagtanggap ng Palasyo ng irrevocable resignation ni dating NBI director Jaime Santiago.
Ayon sa ibinahaging post ng NBI sa kanilang Facebook page nitong Miyerkules, Oktubre 29, makikitang opisyal nang nanumopa si Magno bilang bagong mamumuno sa NBI.
“The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) proudly announces and welcomes its new leader , Atty. Angelito DLP Magno. With the Malacañang’s acceptance of former Director Jaime B. Santiago’s irrevocable resignation, Director Magno now serves as the Officer-in-Charge of the NBI,” pagsisimula nila.
Anang NBI, ang pagiging matagal nang pagiging bahagi ni Magno na aabot sa 33 taon mula noong 1991 sa NBI ang isa malinaw na dahilan upang mapili siya bilang bagong officer-in-charge.

“Director Magno is a career officer, a seasoned investigator who has devoted more than thirty-three (33) years of service to the Bureau, beginning as a project worker in 1991, he steadily rose through the ranks as Special Investigator, Investigation Agent, Head Agent, Regional Director, to Assistant Director, prior to his designation as Officer-in-Charge[...]” anila.
Pagpapatuloy pa ng NBI, taglay ni Magno ang isang ideyal na Director ng kanilang ahensya.

“His extensive service record, breadth of experience, and tested judgment uniquely position him to lead the NBI as the principal Investigative arm of the Department of Justice and as a strong partner of the government in advancing justice, law enforcement, and institutional modernization[...]” pagbabahagi pa ng NBI.
Dagdag pa ng NBI, ang integridad, kakayahan, at pagiging tapat ni Magno ang kaniyang paraan upang ipakita ang pasasalamat niya kay Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr., at Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla.
