Binakbakan ni Davao 1st district Rep. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte si Palace Press Undersecretary Claire Castro kaugnay sa sinabi umano nitong “inutil” sa pamamahala ang nakaraang administrasyon kaugnay sa pagiging agresibo ng China sa West Philippine Sea.
Ayon sa inilabas na pahayag ni Pulong sa kaniyang Facebook nitong Martes, Oktubre 28, binuweltahan niya ang “reckless” at “historically ignorant” na sinabi ni Castro patungkol sa pamamahala ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
“On the reckless and historically ignorant remarks of Palace Spokesperson Ante Kler,” pagsisimula niya, “Before the Palace spokesperson lecture anyone about “being inutile” in defending our seas, she should first study the timeline and check the facts.”

Pagpapatuloy ni Pulong, huwag daw “puro satsat” at “walang pagsasaliksik” ang sinabi ni Castro.
“Hindi puwedeng puro satsat lang sa camera, zero research. Under the Duterte administration, the Armed Forces of the Philippines reached a record level of modernization which it had not reached in decades[...]” paglilinaw niya.
Ani Pulong, tila sinabi na rin ni Castro na “walang silbi” ang pagmo-modernisado ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) kung tatawagin daw niyang “inutil” ang nagdaang administrasyon.
“If that is what she calls ‘inutil,’ then she just called our modernized AFP useless, and every soldier who risks his life and limb for this country is a joke. That is an insult to the uniform she claims to speak for[...]”
Ayon pa sa Davao acting mayor, huwag daw baguhin ni Castro ang mga matagumpay na nagawa ng nakaraang administrasyon sa mga umano’y “kapalpakan” ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr., ngayon.
“If you cannot defend your President’s failure, don’t rewrite the successes of the previous one.
Do not disrespect a leader who actually delivered safety and stability for our citizens while you are busy crowdsourcing solutions for the economy,” aniya.
Nagawa ring tawagin ni Pulong ang pamamahala ni PBBM bilang “bangag administration.”
“The Duterte administration faced challenges head-on. And most of all, it delivered. Your bangag administration on the other hand is asking the people to save the President from his own incompetence,” ani Pulong.
“Next time you want to bring up the West Philippine Sea, start with the truth: We built strength. You built excuses,” pagtatapos pa niya.
Samantala, wala pang inilalabas na pahayag ang Palasyo kaugnay sa naging pahayag ni Pulong.
