Binigyang-linaw ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang lahat ng mga dokumentong natupok kasama sa nangyaring sunog sa kanilang opisina sa Bureau of Research and Standards (BRS) sa Quezon City noong Miyerkules, Oktubre 22.
Ayon sa naging press briefing ng DPWH nitong Huwebes, Oktubre 23, inisa-isa ni DPWH OIC-Usec. Lara Esquibil sa publiko ang mga nadamay na dokumento ng kanilang ahensya sa nasabing naganap na sunog.
“The Bureau of Research and Standards is the main bureau that conducts the research for new materials that would undergo pilot studies,” pagsisimula ni Esquibil.
“And they also have the materials testing division where the fire possibly started. Mainly they train our materials engineers that would be deployed to the field,” paliwanag pa niya.

Ani Esquibil, mga laboratory, accreditation, at “blue book” ng lahat ng mga pay items standards ng ahensya ang ilan sa mga pangunahing naapektuhan nasabing sunog.
“Then we have there the testing laboratories, the accreditation, and then we have the standards developments division. So there, we have the blue book, nandito lahat ng mga pay items standards of the department. They are the repository of all the standards of all types of materials used in the department in construction,” saad niya.
