Pinuna ni dating senador Franklin Drilon ang kasalukuyang sitwasyon umano ng bansa hinggil sa hinaharap nitong problema sa malawakang korapsyon.
Giit ni Drilon sa Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights hearing nitong Miyerkules, Oktubre 22, 2025, pakiramdam umano kasi ng mga tao ay makatatakas sila sa mga maling gawain nila nang hindi napananagot.
"This impunity to me is because of the failure of our people, of our citizenry, to observe the rule of law. They have disregarded the rule of law... In my humble opinion, it is the failure of our justice system,” saad ng dating senador.
Saad pa ni Drilon, “How did we get here?... People feel that they can get away with wrongdoing.”

Aniya, tila ang tingin daw kasi ng ilan ay maaari daw silang gumawa ng krimen at malayong maparusahan.
“They can feel that they can commit crimes without fear of being punished,” giit niya.
Matatandaang nakiisa si Drilon sa pagdinig ng Senado para sa Senate Bill number 1215 o ang Infrastructure Anomalies Investigation Act of 2025 na naglalayong magbuo ng isang Independent People's Commission na mag-iimbestiga sa maanomalyang flood control projects.
Kabilang sa mga dumalo sa naturang pagdinig ay sina Retired Chief Justice Reynato Puno, Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) Chairperson Retired Justice Andres Reyes Jr., ICI Member Former Secretary Rogelio Singson at Makati Business Club (MBC) Executive Director Rafael Ongpin.
