Tila nag-alala si Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) Chairperson Andres Reyes, Jr. sa maaaring kahantungan ng mga dokumento ng Commission on Audit (COA).

Sa ginanap na Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights nitong Miyerkules, Oktubre 22, ipinag-utos ni Reyes sa COA na i-secure ang mga dokumento nitong makakatulong sa imbestigasyon sa maanomalyang flood control projects.

“I did have a meeting with the COA, and I told them that we have to secure all the records of the COA….because there is a tendency for the criminals to burn down the office,” saad ni Reyes.

Matatandaang nasunog nito ring Miyerkules ang isang gusali ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) sa Quezon City dahil sa computer unit na sumabog sa loob ng Materials Testing Division.

Ngunit ayon sa pahayag mismo ng DPWH, nilinaw nilang wala umanong napinsalang flood-control projects documents.

“The DPWH confirms that no documents related to the ongoing investigation into the flood control anomalies were in the Bureau of Research and Standards (BRS) building that caught fire in Quezon City today,” saad ng ahensya.
