Nagbigay ng opisyal na pahayag si Davao City Rep. Paolo "Pulong" Duterte hinggil sa posibilidad na gawing state witness si Leyte 1st District Representative at dating House Speaker Martin Romualdez, kaugnay sa isyu ng maanomalyang flood control projects.
Inilarawan pa ni Pulong na "Biggest joke of the century" ang nabanggit na ideya, na para bang nasa isang teleserye o komedya.
"You mean to tell the Filipino people that the one sitting at the top of the funding chains, the one whose name is whispered in every DPWH regional office, will suddenly turn state witness — against who, exactly? Himself?" ani Pulong.
Inilarawan pa niya ito bilang "buwaya laban sa kapwa buwaya."
