Nilinaw ni Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary Claire Castro na wala umanong oras si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr., para sa “personal desires” ni Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano sa pagmumungkahi ng snap election mula sa lahat ng elected officials sa pamahalaan.
Ayon sa mga ulat nitong Lunes, Oktubre 6, 2025, sinabi ni Castro na “wishful thinking” lang umano ni Cayetano ang sinabi niyang “snap election.”
“It is just his wishful thinking. We do not have time to talk about one’s personal desires,” saad ni Castro.
Pagpapatuloy pa niya, abala umano si PBBM sa pagtatrabaho para sa bansa at pagtulong sa mga naapektuhan ng nangyaring lindol at bagyo.

“The president is busy working for the country and helping those affected by the earthquake and typhoon. He has no time for this kind of politicking.”
“Let us all focus on the needs of the people, not just on personal interests,” pagtatapos pa niya.
Matatandaang mariin ding tinanggihan ni Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto ang nasabing “mungkahi” ni Cayetano.
Ayon mga ulat nito ring Lunes, Oktubre 6, sinabi umano ni Sotto na pinangangambahan niyang walang batayang legal o konstitusyonal ang bansa para sa nasabing “snap election” ni Cayetano.
“We have no Constitutional nor legal framework for snap elections,” saad ni Sotto.
Dagdag pa niya, “We will be flirting with uncertainty and chaos.”
