Inanunsyo ni Gov. Pamela Baricuatro ang pansamantalang pagtatanggal ng truck ban sa lahat ng national at provincial road sa probinsya ng Cebu.
Nilagdaan ni Baricuatro ang Executive Order (EO) No. 58 sa layong mabigyang daan ang mga sasakyan na nagdadala ng mga donasyon para sa mga naapektuhan ng 6.9 magnitude na lindol sa lalawigan kamakailan.
“The measure allows the free passage of vehicles transporting relief goods, construction materials, basic commodities, and other essential cargo to areas severely affected by the 6.9-magnitude earthquake,” saad dito.
Ang direktibang ito ay isinagawa sa pakikipagtulungan ng Philippine National Police (PNP) sa local traffic enforcement units, at epektibo hanggang sa maiangat ang State of Calamity sa Cebu.

“The Philippine National Police, in coordination with local traffic enforcement units, has been directed to implement the order, which takes effect immediately and will remain in force until the State of Calamity in the province is lifted,” dagdag pa rito.
Matatandaang sa direktiba ng EO No. 57, isinailalim ang buong probinsya ng Cebu sa ilalim ng state of calamity noong Miyerkules, Oktubre 1, matapos ang pagyanig ng 6.9 magnitude na lindol noong gabi ng Setyembre 30.
