Humihingi ng paumanhin ang Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) matapos nilang ideklara sa isang Facebook post na pumanaw na ang Philippine cinema icon na si Rosa Rosal.
“Our Sincere Apologies. We sincerely apologize for an earlier post regarding the passing of Ms. Rosa Rosal. It has come to our attention that the information was false,” anang FAMAS.
“Ms. Rosal remains with us, and we deeply regret any confusion or distress this may have caused her family, friends, and admirers,” dagdag pa nito.
Pinahahalagahan umano nila ang katotohanan at integridad, kung kaya’t magiging mas maingat na raw sila bago maglabas ng impormasyon sa publiko.
“FAMAS values truth and integrity, and we will continue to be more vigilant in verifying information before releasing any public statement,” anila.
