Inaprubahan na ng Senado ang rekomendadong pondo ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) para sa Office of the Vice President (OVP) sa 2026.

Sa isinagawang pagdinig ng Senate Committee on Finance nitong Lunes, Setyembre 29, sinabi ni Vice President Sara Duterte na ₱902.895 ang rekomendasyon ng DBM para sa opisina niya. 

Aniya, “The proposed budget will cover Personal Services (PS), Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE), and Capital Outlay (CO).”

“For the PS, the recommended budget for fiscal year 2026 is ₱212.538 million, which is 23.54% of the total budget. [...] For the MOOE, the recommended budget is ₱673.753, which is  74.62% of the total budget. [...] As for the Capital Outlay, the total budget is 1.84% or equivalent to ₱16.604 million,” dugtong pa ni VP Sara.

Samantala, wala namang naging pagtutol ang mga miyembro ng Senado sa pondong ito ng OVP.

“The budget of the Office of the Vice President is now deemed submitted for plenary’s consideration,” saad ni Senador Win Gatchalian na siyang chairperson ng Committee on Finance sa Senado.

Matatandaang higit na mataas ng 21.33% ang pondo na ito ng OVP kumpara noong 2025 budget.
