Ipinagtanggol ni GMA Network Senior Vice President Annette Gozon-Valdes si Kapuso Sparkle artist Shuvee Etrata mula sa mga natanggap nitong batikos.
Matatandaang kinalkal ng ilang netizens ang lumang videos at posts niya partikular ang pagpapakita niya ng suporta kay dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Bagama’t humingi na si Shuvee ng paumanhin sa mga nasaktan niya at nadismaya, tila patuloy pa rin siyang pinuputakti.
Kaya sa isang Faceook post ni Annette nitong Biyernes, Setyembre 26, sinabi niyang hindi umano die-hard si Shuvee sa sinomang politiko.

“She has had very very few (and short) posts that have political color in the past. She gave her personal observation and opinions on what she believed to be good acts and bad acts done by the government,” saad ni Annette.
Dagdag pa niya, “If she personally observed that the negative effects of drugs was mitigated IN HER NEIGHBORHOOD, then let's respect that... just as we should respect her stand against the shutdown of ABS-CBN.”
Kaugnay nito, nakiusap din si Annette na igalang ang opinyon ng bawat isa.
