DepEd Sec. Angara, naglabas ng pahayag matapos ang ‘voluntary leave’ ni Usec. Olaivar

Nagbigay ng pahayag si Department of Education (DepEd) Sec. Sonny Angara kasunod ng ‘voluntary leave of absence’ ni Usec.Trygve L. Olaivar sa ahensya nitong Huwebes, Setyembre 25. 

“Undersecretary Trygve L. Olaivar has taken a voluntary leave of absence to allow due process to take its course without distraction to the Department,” ito ang pahayag ni Angara sa kaniyang Facebook post sa kaparehas na araw. 

Dito rin ay tiniyak niya ang publiko na mananatiling panghahawakan ng ahensya ang integridad sa kanilang mga trabaho, at patuloy na magbibigay ng dekalidad na serbisyo sa mga mag-aaral na Pilipino. 

“As Secretary of Education, I assure the public that the Department of Education upholds the highest standards of integrity in all our work,” saad niya.

“DepEd remains firmly focused on its foremost duty: delivering quality education to every Filipino learner. That mission continues to guide all that we do,” dagdag pa ng kalihim. 

Sa kaugnay na balita, naglabas ng pahayag si Olaivar matapos mabanggit ni dating Department of Public Works and Highways Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo ang kaniyang pangalan sa pagdinig ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee bilang isa sa mga mayroong kaugnayan sa mga anomalya sa flood control projects. 

“I deny the allegations made and want to state clearly that I welcome any investigation regarding that matter,” saad ni Olaivar. 

“To allow a fair inquiry, I will voluntarily take a leave of absence from my post and am ready to fully cooperate with any and all proceedings,” dagdag pa niya.
