Naglabas na ng freeze order ang Anti–Money Laundering Council (AMLC) sa mga bank accounts nina Senador Joel Villanueva, Senador Jinggoy Estrada, Ako Bicol Partylist Rep. Zaldy Co, dating DPWH District Engr. Henry Alcantara, retired DPWH Usec. Roberto Bernardo, at dating Caloocan Rep. Mitch Cajayon-Uy.
Kinumpirma ito ni Department of Justice (DOJ) Sec. Jesus Crispin Remulla sa isinasagawang pagdinig ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee nitong Martes, Setyembre 23, 2025.
"I believe the freeze orders have been issued already by the AMLC," ani Remulla.
Samantala, maghahain ng kaso ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) laban kina Villanuea, Estrada, Co, Alcantara, Bernardo at Cajayon-Uy dahil sa umano'y "indirect bribery," "malversation of public funds," at paglabag sa Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
"NBI would be investigating it and on the outset they recommended filing the charges already," dagdag pa ng Kalihim. "So we treated this already as a complaint with the NBI as the endorsing agency..."
"The recommendation of the NBI for prosecution and probably AMLC followed for Mr. Alcantara, for Senator Joel Villanueva, Senator Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada, Congressman Elizaldy Co, former Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo, and former Congresswoman Mitch Cajayon. The crimes committed were all specified in the sheets given by the NBI to us," ayon pa kay Remulla.
