Itinanggi ni Cavite 4th District Rep. Kiko "Congressmeow" Barzaga ang sinasabi ng publiko patungkol sa pagtutol niya umano sa serbisyo-publiko na ginagawa ni Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto.
Ayon sa inilabas na panayam kay Barzaga ni showbiz insider na si Ogie Diaz sa YouTube noong Miyerkules, Setyembre 17, binanggit ni Ogie ang usap-usap umano ng mga tao sa publiko na tumataliwas si Barzga kontra kay Mayor Sotto.
“Tinatanong nila kung nilalabanan mo ba si Vico Sotto or nagdi-disagree ka kay Vico Sotto?” pagtatanong ng showbiz insider.
Ayon naman kay Barzaga, hindi niya umano tinuturing na kalaban si Mayor Sotto at hinahanggang pa umano niya ito.

“Well, you can see my post. Hindi ko kalaban si Vico Sotto. I admired him. He’s a great politician and like I said before… no’ng inisip ko to go against Romualdez, he was one of the people that came into my mind,” paglilinaw ni Congressmeow.
Aniya, kung magkakaroon umano ng pagkakataong mabago ang bansa pagkatapos ng mga maisasagwang protesta ngayong linggo, isa si Mayor Sotto sa may malaking ambag sa pagbuo ng isang maayos na gobyerno.
“I believe that, if we are given an opportunity to create a better government after the protest, after all that will happen to this country this week, I believe that Vico Sotto will be one of the builders of a better government,” anang Barzaga.
Ngunit iginiit naman ni Barzaga ang pagsang-ayon niya sa tiyuhin ni Mayor Sotto na si Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
“Si Tito Sotto, hindi. Bads ‘yan. Well, he’s very loyal to Martin Romualdez. That’s all I have to say,” pagsisingit ni Barzaga.
Sa pagpaatuloy ng panayaman sa pagitan ni Barzaga at Ogie, naitanong ng showbiz insider kay Congressmeow kung nakita na umano nito ang nangyayaring pagkukumpara ng mga tao sa kaniya at kay Mayor Sotto.
“Have you seen ‘yong comparison sa inyo ni Vico Sotto,” intriga ni Ogie.
Sinabi ni Barzaga na hindi na umano kailangan na ikumpara siya kay Mayor Sotto dahil magkaiba naman daw sila ng gampanin sa gobyerno ngayon.
“Well, yes. But what’s the point of comparison? He's ]an] executive. I’m legislative. We serve very different purposes in our government. And I’m not sure what he will say about me but I consider Vico Sotto a good man,” saad ni Barzaga.
Tanong pa ni Ogie, “[p]ero wala ka namang galit sa tito niya?”
Paglilinaw naman ni Barzaga, hindi naman daw umano personal na away ang namagitan sa kanila ni SP Sotto at sadyang may kaniya-kaniyang ideolohiya lamang umano sila.
“Ito kasi ang point ako, when Aquino became a president or the Aquino administration, they are against to Arroyo administration. The Duterte administration was against to Aquino administration. The Marcos administration now is against to Duterte administration. If we just continue this cycle of hatred, where will it lead us?
“[Be]cause at the end of the day, di ba nag-away-away kami ni Tito Sotto? Hindi ‘yon personal na away. It is us fighting representing our ideologies in his role as Senate President and his friendship with Romualdez.
“And me in my desire to have Romualdez investigated and in my criticism of his inability to do so. So if we let our personal emotions cloud our judgement, then how can we build a better Philippines? How can we build a better country?
“One disagreement lang, forever na kaming magkaaway? That’s not how it should be,” pagtatapos ni Barzaga sa tanong ni Ogie.
Samantala, nauna na ring aminin ni Barzaga na produkto umano siya ng nepotismo bilang anak na galing sa political dysnasty.

“Hindi ako magsisinungaling, okay? Kung sasabihin mong nepo baby ako, I completely agree to that,” saad ni Barzaga.
Aniya, hindi lang umano mahusay na politiko ang kaniyang ama na si dating Cavite 4th District Elpidio Barzaga Jr. kundi magaling din itong abogado.
“So, inaamin mo na nepo baby ka?” pagtatanong pa ni Ogie.
Hindi naman ito pinabulaanan ni Barzaga at inihayag niyang isa ang pamilya nila na pinakamatagal nang political dynasty sa Dasmariñas, Cavite.
“Yes. I mean, that’s the first start. You have to admit that you are a product of nepotism. I, myself, am a product of political dynasty. And not just a political dynasty. We are one of the oldest dynasties in Cavite if you trace back to the history[...] Yes. and it’s true. We have a long history in politics. And if I deny that [then] I’m denying myself[...]” ayon kay Barzaga.
