Patuloy ang pagsigaw ni dating senadora at kasalukuyang Mamamayang Liberal (ML) Partylist Rep. Leila de Lima na isabatas na ang House Bill No. 4453, “An act creating an independent commission to investigate the misuse of funds for flood control and other infrastructure projects, granting it broad investigative and subpoena powers, providing for a secretariat, and for other purposes.”
Ibinahagi ni Rep. De Lima sa kaniyang Facebook post nitong Miyerkules, Setyembre 17, na nararapat magkaroon ng ngipin ang komisyong itinatag ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na mag-iimbestiga sa umano’y anomalya ng flood control projects.
“Sa lawak ng sabwatan sa mga maanomalyang flood control projects, dapat tapatan ito ng mas malakas at may ngipin na independent commission para panagutin ang mga buwaya sa gobyerno at pahirap sa mga Pilipino,” aniya.
“Enact House Bill No. 4453 Now!” dagdag pa niya.
Ipinaliwanag niya rin sa video, na naka-credit sa ABS-CBN News, sa Batasang Pambasa, ang mas malalim pang mga dahilan kung bakit dapat na isabatas ang naturang panukala.
“Our people are getting fed up and angry. Their clamor rings loudly and clearly: ferret out the whole truth. The President issued Executive Order No. 94 creating the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) to investigate those involved in irregularities in flood control and other infrastructure projects,” aniya.
“EO is a start, but the Commission it created is not powerful enough. What is needed is a law that will grant the necessary powers to an investigative commission. Our group is pushing for the passage of House Bill No. 4453, filed last September 9, to complement EO 94, for a stronger and more independent commission. The President should certify its urgency,” dagdag pa niya.
Matatandaang isa sa mga kongresistang patuloy na tinutuligsa ang umano’y anomalya at iregularidad sa mga flood control projects sa bansa.
