Magde-deploy ng 50,335 pulis ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa mga inaasahang kilos-protestang gaganapin sa Linggo, Setyembre 21.

“The PNP will make sure there is no trouble. The PNP will not suppress them. The PNP will not stop them in any way, and we will make sure it is just a peaceful rally,” pagbabahagi ni Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sec. Jonvic Remulla sa kaniyang panayam sa ANC Headstart nitong Martes, Setyembre 16.

Bilang libo-libong raliyista ang inaasahang sasali sa mga kilos-protesta na nakatakdang ganapin sa EDSA at Luneta Park sa darating na Linggo, laban sa mga umano’y korapsyon sa flood control projects, tiniyak ni Remulla na suportado ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang kanilang adbokasiya.

“There is no opposition on the Palace’s part to granting any permits. In fact, they will assist them,” aniya.

“The President is one with them, and it is a different case that happened in the other countries,” dagdag pa niya.

Ibinahagi din ng Kalihim na habang naniniwala rin siyang dapat managot ang mga may kaugnayan sa mga umano’y anomalya, hinikayat niya ang publiko na mapayapang ilabas ang kanilang mga hinaing.

“I hope half a million people will show up and show indignation against these people, I hope they will vent, and I hope that there is a release of their anger in a very peaceful way, of their disappointment in how the things have transpired,” saad niya.
