Inamin ni Cavite 4th district Rep. Kiko Barzaga na suportado na niyang mapaimbestigahan si House Speaker Martin Romualdez, matapos ang pagkalas niya sa kanilang partido at House majority bloc.
Sa kaniyang Facebook post nitong Miyerkules, Setyembre 10, 2025, ibinahagi rin ni Barzaga na sinuportahan niya noon si Romualdez dahil sa desisyon umano ng National Unity Party (NUP) na mismong kanilang partido.
“While the betrayal of trust is disappointing, I believe it is in the best interests of both myself and the National Unity Party that we go our separate ways, I will also be leaving the majority since I voted for Speaker Romualdez due to my party’s instructions,” saad ni Barzaga.
Dagdag pa niya, “I supported Speaker Romualdez due to this, though now that I am free from my party’s constraints, I suggest that he must be investigated for any anomalies involving Flood Control Public Funds.”

Matatandaang umalis sa majority bloc at NUP si Barzaga matapos umano siyang idiin na nangangalap ng mga pirma upang mapatalsik sa puwesto si Romualdez.
“Yesterday night, I have been informed that Deputy Speaker Puno, the chairman of the National Unity Party, implicated me in a plot to remove Speaker Romualdez from his position, and that I am collecting signatures to do so. That notion is false,” saad ni Barzaga.

Bago nito, naging usap-usapan naman ang larawang ibinahagi ni Barzaga sa kaniyang Facebook account na Congressman Kiko Barzaga kung saan makikita siyang nakaupo sa wheelchair at may neckbrace.
“DPWH hearing,” saad ni Barzaga sa caption.
Nagpapatuloy ang hiwalay na pagdinig ng Senado at Kamara sa isyu ng maanomalyang flood control projects kung saan nakaladkad ang ilang mga opisyal at kongresista kasama si Romualdez.
