May mensahe si Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano sa mga "kalaban" ni Vice President Sara Duterte, kaugnay pa rin sa sesyon ng Senado, sa impeachment case ng Pangalawang Pangulo na nauna nang ibinasura ng Korte Suprema at hinatulang "unconstitutional."
Ayon kay Cayetano, hinihimok niya ang mga hindi nabanggit na kalaban ni Duterte na talunin na lang siya sa 2028 Presidential Elections at huwag gamitin ang impeachment laban sa kaniya.
"Hindi ba tama naman 'yong sinabi ng Supreme Court, dapat may impeachment pero hindi dapat gamitin ito ng magkalaban lang sa politika," anang Cayetano.
"Ayaw nating maging presidente si Vice President Sara, talunin n'yo na lang sa 2028!"

"Ngayon, kung talagang may ginawa siyang masama, eh 'di i-impeach, pero sa tamang paraan."
Matatandaang sa kaniyang privilege speech, ipinagdiinan ni Marcoleta na ang desisyon umano ng SC ang sapat ng basehan upang ibasura na ng Senado ang impeachment ni VP Sara.
“Mr. President, when the Supreme Court (SC) negates the actions of a co-equal branch of government, it does not assert its superiority. Instead, it upholds the supremacy and the dominance of the fundamental law of the land—-the Constitution,” ani Marcoleta.
Dagdag pa niya, “It says the complaint is unconstitutional, is void ab initio, is violative of due process. The Senate never acquired jurisdiction over this. It is immediately executory. And on that note, Mr. President, I respectfully move that the impeachment complaint be dismissed.”
Agad naman itong kinontra ni Senate Minority Leader Tito Sotto III at naghain ng mosyon na i-table o isantabi muna ang mosyon ni Sen. Rodante Marcoleta na i-archive ang impeachment ni Vice President Sara Duterte.
Hindi nagwagi ang mosyon ni Sotto sa botong 19-5.
