Nagbigay ng pahayag ang Liberal Party of the Philippines kaugnay sa pagsapi ni Senador Kiko Pangilinan sa majority bloc ng Senado.
Sa latest Facebook post ng LP nitong Lunes, Hulyo 28, tinawag nilang “strategic choice” ang paghanay ni Pangilinan sa majority bloc at hindi pagpapalit ng prinsipyo.
“This is not a shift in principle. It is a deepening of purpose. Not a compromise, but a strategic choice to serve,” saad ng LP.
“Senator Kiko has always stood where it matters most: with the Filipino people—especially our farmers, fisherfolk, and struggling families,” pagpapatuloy nila.

Dagdag pa ng partido, “His move to the majority is driven by a singular mission: to bring down food prices, end hunger, and uplift lives through concrete, legislative action. That mission cannot wait for ideal conditions. It demands engagement—even with those we may not always agree with.”
Bukod dito, sinagot din ng LP ang tanong ng marami kung bakit mas pinili ni Pangilinan na luminya sa majority kaysa sa minority bloc ng Senado.
Anila, “Our answer is clear: to fight from within. To make the system work for those it often leaves behind. To ensure that the people’s voice is heard not just in protest, but in policy and the channeling of resources who need it most.”
“Utilizing and redirecting the manpower and resources of the bureaucracy is political ju jitsu necessary to effect change,” dugtong pa ng LP.
Matatandaang inaasahan ng mga tagasuporta ni Pangilinan na makakasama niya sa 20th Congress si Senador Risa Hontiveros na kasalukuyang nasa minority bloc.
Ito ay matapos manalo nina Pangilinan at Senador Bam Aquino sa nakalipas na 2025 midterm elections.
Nauna nang nagbigay ng hindi tuwirang pahayag si Pangilinan sa pagsama niya sa majority matapos umugong ang bulong-bulungan hinggil dito.
Binigyang-diin ng senador na patuloy raw siyang maninindigan para sa pangakong bitbit niya pag-upo sa Senado.
