Naghayag ng sentimyento si Cebu Governor-elect Pam Baricuatro kaugnay sa paandar ni outgoing Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia.
Sa latest Facebook post ni Baricuatro noong Martes, Hunyo 18, sinabi niyang dismayado umano siya na tinangkang manipulahin ni Garcia ang budget ng nasabing probinsya sa pamamagitan ng paglikha ng trust funds.
“I am deeply disappointed and appalled by the recent actions of the Outgoing Governor, as evidenced by Memorandum No. 36-2025. Her last-minute attempt to manipulate the provincial budget through the creation of trust funds—just weeks before her departure—is not only a blatant disregard for the principles of good governance and democratic transition but also an outright violation of legal and ethical standards,” saad ni Baricuatro.
Dagdag pa niya, “This act of sabotage undermines the trust placed in us by the people of Cebu and threatens the fiscal integrity of our province. It is an abuse of power designed to hinder the incoming administration’s ability to serve effectively.”

Kaya naman sa ilalim ng bagong pamunuan ni Baricuatro, susuriin, tatasahin, at kung kinakailangan, babawiin umano nila ang mga ilegal at kuwestiyonableng probisyon sa nasabing memorandum.
Nanawagan din siya sa mga kapuwa niya opisyal na panatilihin ang mataas na pamantayan ng integridad, paggalang sa demokratikong proseso, at pag-una sa kapakanan ng mamamayan kaysa interes ng partido.
Tiniyak naman ni Baricuatro sa kaniyang nasasakupan na magtatrabaho sila upang maibalik ang transparency, pananagutan, at progreso sa Cebu.
“We will not be intimidated or divided by attempts to undermine our democratic institutions. Our focus remains on delivering the change Cebu deserves,” pahabol pa ng bagong halal na Gobernador.
Matatandaang kamakailan lang ay pinatawan si Garcia ng guilty of indirect contempt matapos niyang hindi bumaba sa puwesto noong siya ay sinuspinde ng Ombudsman.
