Nagpahayag ng pagsuporta ang iba’t ibang media organization upang manatiling miyembro ng gabinete si Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Jay Ruiz.

Kabilang sa mga organisasyong sumuporta kay Ruiz ay ang Justice Reporters’ Organization (JUROR), the SOCSKSARGEN Press Club at the Publishers Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PAPI).

Ayon sa JUROR, marami na raw sa kanilang hanay ang nakatrabaho si Ruiz na siyang magpapatunay sa kredibilidad ni Ruiz na manatili sa puwesto.

“Many of us have worked alongside Mr. Ruiz during his time in broadcast journalism. He earned our respect not only for his professionalism and credibility but also for his instinctive understanding of the role of media in a democracy,” anang JUROR.

Nanindigan naman ang SOCSKSARGEN Press Club na karapat dapat si Ruiz na maglingkod sa ilalim ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. 

“[Ruiz is] best suited to steer the PCO as the strategic communications arm of the Marcos administration…With such qualifications and competency that befit Secretary Ruiz, the administration of BBM is assured of an effective and responsive communications arm,” anang organisasyon.

Bagama’t nirerespeto raw nila ang anumang magiging desisyon ni PBBM, iginiit ng PAPI na nakitaan daw nila ng potensyal at dedikasyon si Ruiz sa paglilingkod sa hanay ng mamamahayag.

“While we fully respect the ongoing evaluation being conducted on Secretary Ruiz, we believe that changing the guards in the middle of the ballgame does not bode well for the administration—especially at a time when coherent, credible communication is most needed,” anila.

Matatandaang isa si Ruiz sa mga gabinete ni PBBM na nananatiling hindi narere-instate sa kaniyang puwesto matapos tumugon sa naging panawagan ng Pangulo na courtesy resignation.
